Believe it or not, Jay started working at Full Moon as an intern back in 2001. Practically straight out of high school, Jay was met with a very meager opportunity to help around the studio (and to clean the toilet) and obviously didn’t let that opportunity slip through his fingers. Hard work and perseverance paid off as Full Moon grows ever more entwined with the local community and culture.

Opened in 1991, Full Moon Studio has been a staple in the Athens area recording scene. Many of the established recording engineers in Athens spent some time at Full Moon before moving on to their own personal ventures. It was started with the intent of bringing a professional recording experience to Athens and providing the capability to record bands live. The crown jewel of the studio is the 2 story, multi surface, 1000 sq ft live room that gives a wonderful color, depth, and space to recorded instruments and voices. In addition, there are 3 isolation booths to keep instruments separated during the live recording process that also serve as different spaces and textures for overdubbing. Many local and national artists have used Full Moon Studio to create some of their most popular and influential recordings! Come see, experience and hear it for yourself!

.: Studio B :.

Our vocal and production studio is located inside the Full Moon School of Music, just next door. Initially, the goal was to use this studio as a teaching space for students at the school but we have opened Studio B up to clients as a place to do vocal or instrumental overdubs. This studio is loaded with midi capabilities for creating loops and backing tracks or other electronic production in Ableton, Protools, or Logic Pro X for musicians that either want to add that flavor to their music or need to build beats from scratch. Studio B is a great project studio for hip hop, editing, overdubbing or production.
